Maybe some poetic forms are best left to appreciate than emulation; after spending nearly a week waiting inspiration to strike so that I might give a "American haiku" a go, I remain unable to string together words that have that "pop." While I realize that anonymity of the Internet should allow me to feel comfortable posting for public consumption even poems that are "bad" (heck, even the ones I deem "good," might be labeled "bad" by the reader!), I can't bring myself to publish any of the aborted attempts here.
Consider this a "tabled" form, one which I may someday (maybe in the not-too-distant-future) have the right experience with which to use it...
